Privacy Policy

The short version: InFocus does not collect, store, sell or share your personal information. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers that receive anything from the app. Your settings stay on your phone.

This policy explains how the InFocus mobile app for iPhone and Android (“InFocus”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information.

Information we collect

None. InFocus does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other personal information, and the app does not send any information about you or how you use it to us or to anyone else. It contains no analytics, tracking, advertising or crash-reporting software.

How the app works on your device

InFocus shows Facebook, YouTube and Instagram inside the app and adjusts how those pages look: it covers photos and videos until you choose to see them and can hide features such as Reels, Shorts and comment sections. All of this happens on your phone. The page content the app looks at to decide what to cover is never saved by InFocus and never leaves your device.

Your settings

The choices you make in InFocus (which media to cover, reveal waits, locks and similar options) are stored only on your phone, in the app's own storage. We cannot see them. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your phone's settings, deletes them.

Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Google

When you use one of these services inside InFocus, you are connecting directly to that service, just as you would in a web browser. You sign in on their own pages, and your username and password go only to them; InFocus does not read, store or send your login details. What those services collect about you (including the cookies they save in the app so you stay signed in) is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one:

You can sign out of these services at any time from their own menus, or remove all of their data from the app by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.

Notifications (Android)

If you allow it, InFocus on Android can post a notification when Facebook or YouTube shows new notifications while the app is open or was recently open. It does this by reading the unread count on the page, on your phone. No notification service or server of ours is involved. You can turn this off in the app's settings or in your phone's settings.

Permissions

InFocus does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone or photo library.

Links to other websites

Links that lead outside the supported sites open in your phone's own browser or app, and those sites have their own privacy practices.

App stores

Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) handle downloads and updates of InFocus and may collect information under their own policies. They may share anonymous, aggregated statistics with us, such as download counts, or crash reports you choose to send. These never identify you to us.

Children

InFocus is not directed to children under 13, and the services it opens require their users to be at least 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your choices and rights

Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. You control everything the app stores through the app's settings, your phone's settings, or by uninstalling it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change ever means the app handles your information differently, we will say so clearly here before it takes effect.
